Crafts
Girls will participate in crafts such as tye-dyeing and making friendship bracelets!
Fishing
Girls will learn how to fish in one of the many creeks at Shantituck. They'll learn how to bait a hook and the correct, safe way to cast their line.
Swimming
Girls will swim everyday. They are welcome to wear their swimsuits to camp, or change into them right before swim time. Make sure to pack a change of clothes and a bag for wet clothes!
Archery
Girls will learn how to shoot a compound bow and the whistle commands involved with safe archery practices.
Flag
Girls will learn how to both conduct and participate in a flag ceremony. Flag will be held every day at the beginning and at the end of camp, weather permitting.
Creek Walking
Your daughter's unit may decide to go creek walking during their free time in the week! They will learn how to safely walk in the creek, and about the critters they may discover!
Cookout and Fire Safety
Girls will cookout once during the week, either a meal or dessert depending on age level. They will also learn about fire safety and the rules regarding being around a fire!
Badge Work
Your daughter may work towards and even earn badges during her week at camp.
