Volunteers

Adult Volunteers receive lunch and snacks each day, transportation to and from camp, swimming daily, participation in fun camp activities such as fishing, creek walking, camp songs, hiking, and cooking out (Wednesday only). Volunteers staying overnight Wednesday night receive dinner, ice cream, free overnight accommodations (assigned to a platform tent or building), planned activities, and breakfast Thursday morning. All of this and priceless memories that last a lifetime.

Campers of 2-5 day volunteers will have a guaranteed spot at camp.

5 day volunteers receive a free T-shirt, a custom thank you gift, and a $20 rebate per camper.

Every adult volunteering must have a valid background check on file with KYANAGS. If you DO NOT have a current background check on file, complete a new one through the KYANAGS website

Unit Leaders

Every camper is assigned to a unit at camp, similar to their troop. They are placed with other girls of the same Girl Scout level: Daisy, Brownie, Junior, Cadette.

Due to GSUSA Saftey-Wise regulations, we need a minimum of two adults per unit, who must have Camp In A certification:

The Daisy unit requires 4-6 adults daily.
Each Brownie unit requires 3-4 adults daily.
Each Junior and Cadette unit requires 2-3 adults daily.

We also need volunteers to serve as unit leaders for the Boys and Pixies units.

Ideally, we want to assign the same adults to the same units every day, which provides the optimum experience for everyone.

Other Positions

We need volunteers to help with Music, Fishing, Kitchen, Crafts, and Outdoor Skills.

If you cannot volunteer at camp during the week, there are several other ways you can help:
